The role involves teaching, training, and assessing learners across a variety of learning environments, with a focus on developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deliver and assess teaching sessions in Mechanical Engineering at Level 2 and Level 3.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support learners in developing knowledge and skills in areas including hand fitting, turning, and milling (preferred but not essential).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that inspires students to achieve.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to curriculum planning and development as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong knowledge of\u00a0<strong>Mechanical Engineering<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical skills in\u00a0<strong>hand fitting<\/strong>, with\u00a0<strong>turning and milling<\/strong>\u00a0experience desirable but not essential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prior teaching experience in\u00a0<strong>schools, further education, or higher education<\/strong>\u00a0is desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and organisational skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of\u00a0<strong>Level 3 qualification in Engineering<\/strong>\u00a0(or equivalent).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contract Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>21 contact hours per week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporary position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note: The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>New Appointments Group, Expertly Matching Employers and Jobseekers since 1975.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Before submitting your CV, please take a moment to check the layout, spelling, and grammar.
