Expectations of the<br>postdoctoral fellows are to elevate the strategic college focus on the Blue Economy. The blue<br>economy includes all economic activities of ocean-based industries, together with the assets,<br>goods, and ecosystem services provided by marine environments. Campus priorities include<br>coastal landform and community resilience, ocean exploration, marine transportation, Power-atSea, and seafood production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each postdoctoral fellow will be paired with a TAMUG faculty member who has agreed to serve as a sponsor*.<br>Fellowships will provide 100% salary support for 1 year (to end no later than 31 August 2027), with potential for a<br>one-time 1-year renewal (end date no later than 31 August 2028) upon recommendation of the faculty advisor (total<br>of 24 months). Each fellow will receive a competitive compensation package, which will include a stipend (up to<br>$5,000 per year) to cover research experiences. Starting salary for the post-docs will be $62,500 per year with<br>applicable university benefits. Applications will only be reviewed once all materials are received in a single pdf<br>document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Successful applicants are likely to communicate early with TAMUG researchers their intent to apply for this program to allow time for successful proposal development. TAMUG faculty may only sponsor one applicant and provide evidence they can support the proposed research in their support letter. *A PhD candidate is a student in their last semester who will complete all graduation requirements prior to starting the fellowship.
