
The project addresses critical challenges in transport planning under deep uncertainties at national and international levels, including the EU Green Deal, resilience missions, geopolitical shifts, technological disruptions, and evolving sustainability targets. Traditional models like 4-step demand models, simulations, and agent-based models struggle to adapt to rapidly changing conditions. The project leverages LLMs to dynamically adapt inputs, projections, and prediction mechanisms, enhancing the resilience and robustness of transport planning. The PhD student will work collaboratively at KTH, Sweden and DTU, Demark, developing LLM-driven models for decision-making under deep uncertainties.
