Professor Yuner Huang is recruiting one fully-funded PhD student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to investigate the composite actions and efficient structural design of cold-formed steel stud wall panels with fibre cement sheathing boards. The expected start date is May 2026.

– cold-formed steel members
– innovative fixing solutions
– steel-cement board composite actions
– numerical modeling and parametric study
đ Eligibility & Priority:
Applicants should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Material Engineering or related fields.
– The applicant should have at least one journal publication as first/corresponding author in related fields.
– The applicant should already have at least IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80 (exempt for students who graduated from universities taught in English)
